Meet the Founder

I started Glowing because I believe grooming should be calm, unhurried, and built entirely around your dog.

My story

Hi, I’m Marcus. I’ll be grooming your dog.

Dogs have been my favorite part of life for as long as I can remember. I’m a lifelong North Carolinian, born and raised in Greensboro, and Raleigh is home. Before there was a van, there were Marley and Leo, my own dogs and the original spa clients.

For years I built a career in sales, from medical devices to physician recruiting to regional hotel sales. It was good work, and it taught me something I carry into every groom: people remember how you made them feel. But no matter how well the job went, my heart was somewhere else. In January 2026 I stopped waiting for the right time and pivoted to the work I was always meant to do.

Why Glowing exists

Let’s be honest about pet grooming. Prices keep climbing while the experience keeps slipping. Dogs sit in crates for hours waiting their turn. Owners get a pickup window instead of an answer. You rarely meet the person holding the clippers, and next time it’s someone new. And it isn’t only grooming. Real service has gotten hard to find in almost every industry, and most of us have quietly learned to expect less.

I don’t accept that, and you shouldn’t have to. My goal is for Glowing Mobile Pet Spa to be a leader, not only in the quality of every haircut, but in service, in how easy it is to book, and in how the whole experience feels from the first message to the last brushstroke.

What that means for you

  • You’ll know your groomer on a first-name basis, and I’ll know yours.

  • One dog at a time, in a calm van right in your driveway. No cages, no barking kennels, no car rides.

  • Expert-level, breed-correct styling, careful nail work, and gentle handling on every groom.

  • Online booking in about two minutes.

Today, as founder and Lead Groomer, I groom a wide variety of breeds and sizes across the Triangle, from tiny Yorkies and first-time puppies to doodles, seniors, and Saint Bernards.

The review I care about most isn’t on Google. It’s the tail wag when the van pulls up. Your dog should be happy to see their groomer. That’s the standard, and that’s the glow.
